CRIS-Windows Interfaces with Dictaphone or HL7

CRIS-Windows interfaces with Dictaphone's dictation, transcription, and e-signature systems to provide automated editing of chart deficiencies in CRIS for "hands-off" productivity. CRIS accepts data from your VOICE dictation system and TEXT transcription system and performs deficiency updates automatically. CRIS also provides the full functionality described above through an untended, industry standard, HL7 socket to socket interface.

What does the CRIS-Dictation-Transcription-ESignature Interface do?

  •

Automated data transfer and automated editing. If the systems to be interfaced are on interconnected networks, CRIS automatically performs the edits.

  •

Automated availability of ADT data and Dictation, Transcription, and E-Signatures for the Chart Analyst to save time and improved accuracy.

How do the Interfaces affect chart management?

All dictations and transcriptions are stored in a file pending discharge of the patient. When the chart is ready for discharge analysis, a window summarizes dictations, transcriptions and electronic signatures that have been performed to date.

  •

Based on the actions that have been taken, CRIS automatically assigns deficiencies. For example, if an operative report was both dictated and transcribed, CRIS would assign a signature deficiency.

After the chart is analyzed, dictations and transcriptions and electronic signatures are communicated to CRIS as they occur. CRIS automatically updates and clears deficiencies using the information provided.

  •

If all deficiencies are cleared on a chart due to final electronic signatures being reported, CRIS "moves" the chart to a completed location. The user receives a list of charts that were completed electronically and can be moved to permanent files.

  •

CRIS prints out any cases where a match could not be found because of incorrect MD or patient number.
