Location Tracking

For those facilities interested in LOCATION TRACKING only, we offer a LOCATION Tracking module separately from completion functions. It combines active chart tracking with Master Tracker features to include all charts in permanent files. For comprehensive location tracking, please refer also to BAR CODING.

Intuitive, powerful, chart location tracking functions

Records all movement of charts in and out of the medical record department: incomplete charts, charts in processing, or charts in permanent file, microfilm or offsite storage.
Locate charts through, patient name, medical record number, account number, location, date left department, or due date.
Chart reservations for special studies, for ASAP requests.
Notification when a chart has requestors waiting with immediate sign-out to location of user’s choice.
Productivity reports to track the volume of location tracking by employee
Lists of charts tracked to any one location; lists of charts overdue for return.
Six month historical record of all chart movement. History tells you who signed out chart, who signed in chart, etc.
Available for use on a LAN, licensed on a per workstation basis
Master Tracker features assure that every chart entered into the CRIS system, remains in the system forever. You may define as many "permanent" file locations as necessary to meet your needs.
Master Tracker keeps track of chart activity. It will create lists of inactive records to be purged for microfilm or offsite storage.
All location tracking features are fully functional using Bar Coding options.

Chart location tracking

Charts can be signed out of the department, or signed back in, using bar codes. The window below shows the entry screen for a unit record system (i.e., only the medical record is needed). The data lines grayed out on the right will be filled in automatically with data from either the Incomplete system (if the chart is incomplete), or from Master Tracker (if the chart is in permanent file).
